Jesus the Bread of Life - The search for material well-being, healing, deliverance and prosperity of the sufferings

Matthew 14: 34-36; Mark 6: 52-56; John 6: 22-71
"It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak unto you are spirit and life. " John 6: 63
Jesus, after reaching out and save Peter from drowning, enters, he and Peter on the boat, head towards Gennesaret. Arriving there the locals and surrounding flock to for healing and deliverance from their sufferings. The Master pays attention to everyone and some just by touching his clothes are cured. But others come there and ask him when he had arrived. "Rabbi, when did you get here?" John 6: 25 For they saw only the disciples get into the boat, without the Master and find it there, Jesus knowing their heart and intent of the question, answered them, "Verily, I tell you truly seek me, not you saw the signs, but because you ate the bread and you saciastes. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you; this because the Father, God the sealed ". John 6: 26-27 There is in most people think only of the material well-being, healing the diseases of the body, ridding the sufferings of the soul, material prosperity, a good job, a nice car, home, forget the spiritual side. The Jews sought the Lord that he would deliver them from the evils and misfortunes of life, hunger and expected deliverance from Roman captivity, had only a vision of the problems surrounding them in the world in which they lived. Jesus from the beginning of his ministry shows them the spiritual meaning of the kingdom of God, his miracles, signs and wonders leads them to believe in a spiritual God, but in their view, due to the interpretation of the scribes and Pharisees of the Mosaic law, shows them the meaning of the Messiah as the restorer of the Jewish kingdom likeness of King David, a human kingdom, land. The law subjected the man to the works, which they expiated their sins. They ask the Master to do the works pleasing to God. "What we do to do the works of God?" John 6: 28 Jesus answered them that the works do not save, but who believes in the Son of God will be saved. "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6: 29 The Apostle Paul mentions in Galatians justification by faith. "Knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, might be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law; for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. " Gal. 2: 16 They, the Jews, asking him what the sign to show them his divine power to what they might believe in him, if Moses had given them manna from heaven, Jesus replies by telling them that the manna was not Moses you gave them, but God has given them to live during the pilgrimage and that manna was not eternal, but he would, if believed, the eternal bread himself to them. "I am the bread of life; He who comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. " John 6: 35 affirms his divinity and gives the true meaning of his spiritual ministry, telling them to have come from the Father "I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him who sent me." John 6: 38 This compares to manna, that those who ate it died, but those who eat of their flesh, believe in him in spirit, hath everlasting life. "Verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that one may eat it and not die. " John 6: 47-50

The Master gives a play on words as believe and have faith in him, appropriating it completely, in a figurative way of eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Some believe he is speaking of the Lord's Supper, but that is not the meaning of their words, but taken from a real life. In contrast to what the rabbis quoted on the bread, the Torah, the law of Moses, thought gave life to his followers. "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6: 54 eat the flesh and drink his blood suggests full ownership of Jesus by faith, believing in his human nature and his divinity, he is the man God, the God flesh and spirit. Jews understand this meaning, but do not accept the divinity of Jesus. A man came from a humble family flying-from heaven. "Murmured therefore it Jews, because he said, I am the bread that came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How, then, he says, came down from heaven "John 6: 41-42 And many who followed him moved away from him, feeling frustrated in his thoughts said:" This is an hard saying; Who can hear "John 6: 60 They were only twelve, and he asks them if they also wish to get away from him. "Will ye also go away? Said to him, Simon Peter: Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. " John 6: 67-69 They stood beside the Master, these words were not spoken in just a moment or impulse, but the total reality of life as experienced by later follow the Master and some were killed. But among them was one who would betray him, and Jesus knew it. Those who come to Christ with devotion are brought to him by God and receive the seal of the Spirit of God, have eternal life and be resurrected on the last day. "For the will of him that sent me is this, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. " John 6: 40
