JESUS OF NAZARETH THE CITY - DISCRIMINATION AND REJECTION

" He came unto His own, and His own did not receive him." John 1 : 11
Matthew 13 : 54-58 Mark 6 : 1-6 Luke 4 : 16-30 On two occasions Jesus was in his hometown Nazareth , was broken , rejected and kicked out both times . The first at the beginning of his ministry , after being tempted by Satan . At that time reported his condition as representative of God to men , to quote the passage from Isaiah : " The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the poor . Sent me to heal the brokenhearted , to preach deliverance to the captives , and recovering of sight to the blind , to set at liberty them that are bruised , To preach the acceptable year of the LORD . " Luke 4 : 18-19 , and tell him, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing ." Luke 4 : 21b Not accepted , discriminated against him, referring to his status as the son of a modest family and work on craft, which they considered inappropriate to a Rabbi, when young , before following the Messianic Ministry , was a carpenter , how could have so much wisdom and authority ? Were offended him, do not listen to him , nor was there miracles in that town , they hardened their hearts . The master really marveled because of their unbelief . " And said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country." Lk . 4 : 24 He cited the way the prophet Elijah , sent by God , the widow of Zarephath , when there was nothing else for her and her son eating , only for that day , for there was famine and drought in the land . " Truly I tell you there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah , when the heaven was shut up three years and six months , so that in all the land great famine ; And none of them was Elias sent , but to Sarepta Sidon , to a widow woman. " Luke 4 : 25-26 For He knew the Israelis would reject the prophet . Why trust the Lord she was met in all your needs for him , while there was dry , nothing was missed . I Kings 17 : 12 He mentioned , too, Naaman , captain of the army of the king of Syria , but a leper . This to learn that the prophet Elisha would heal him , searched him . Elisha gave him orders to bathe seven times in the Jordan, he was outraged by the simplicity of the task . But to listen to the advice of his servants , and was bathed in the river Jordan , the leprosy left him . II Kings 5 : 11-14 The widow and Naaman were Gentiles , believed in God and he resolved to your needs . " And said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country." Lk . 4: 24
The rejection of Jesus occurs until the present day , because to accept it , which seems a simple act , but it is quite difficult , one must have humility , faith , was what happened to Naaman , he was indignant for being something simple to bathe in the Jordan River , expected something grand or do it in the river of Damascus , considered them the best of Israel saw the task as something trivial and not befitting their social status , but had humility and bathed in the Jordan river , was cured . The widow of Zarephath had faith. For something to happen in human life takes faith . Missed the men of Nazareth humility to recognize Jesus as the bearer of God's message and faith in his power to do miracles , sealed in its loftiness , his pride and rejected Jesus for being mere youth , coming from a humble family . " Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary , and brother of James , and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon ? and are not his sisters here with us ? And they were offended in him. " Mc . 6: 3
There are many who reject Jesus because of their social position , their culture , despise the messages spoken by humble people , close at arrogance , discriminate , not wanting to hear the words of the Master.

But Jesus accepts all who believe in his name , whether rich , poor, everyone. " He came unto his own, and his own received him not . Yet to all who received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God , to those who believe in His name. " John 1 : 11-12 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him ." John 3 : 36
